Hello Everyone!
Thank you to those who have already supported Drew and myself on this incredible journey that we are about to embark on. For those of you haven't heard, we are about 8 days away from leaving to India where we will be volunteering at a leprosy colony with an organization called Rising Star Outreach.
Leprosy in India s considered more than just an illness, it is a curse. Those are diagnosed with this disease are outcast from society and forced to beg for survival. While working at Rising Star Outreach, Drew and I will be helping families who are the victims of this terrible disease. We will be helping to educate their children, offering medical treatment, and giving the parents a way to become self-sufficient through micro-credit.
As volunteers Drew and I are asked to raise $1750 to donate Rising Star's cause, but Drew and I have made it a personal goal to go above and beyond. We are trying to raise $3000 each to donate to this noble cause. With your help, I know that we can make this happen. Even the smallest donation can make a difference, so we hope that you feel as inspired by this cause as we do and decide to make a contribution.
